Maintenance
For our furniture we use carefully dried wood. However, it remains a natural product, which absorbs and releases moisture depending on the humidity and ambient temperature. Especially during the winter months, wood can move a bit more due to the turning on of the heating and the often poorer ventilation. We therefore recommend a humidity between 40% and 60%. If it is lower, humidifiers can be used. It is also advisable not to place wooden furniture near heating sources or air conditioners. Also ensure good humidity and ventilation in the house after the winter months.
No matter how good the drying and moisture treatment is, small shrinkage cracks can always occur, especially in the head/end of a board or product. This is a normal property of wood and usually barely noticeable. However, if a larger crack develops, we advise you to contact our customer service.
