Why choose the Shanghai Bench?
At fifty centimetres wide and fifty centimetres high, this bench is suitable as a standalone seat in the hallway, as a step stool next to a tall cabinet, or as a place for a plant next to the sofa. It is light enough to move with one hand.
The seat has been hollowed out from the block rather than sawn flat, allowing you to sit on it longer than on an ordinary stool. The recycled teak has cracks and colour variations that are natural to the material and differ from one piece to another. Dusting with a dry cloth is all that is needed.
