Care for recycled teak wood
The teak wood comes from old houses in Java and is protected by the natural oils in the wood. The wood has no layer of varnish. Water or something greasy can therefore leave a ring or stain if it stays on it for a long time. So wipe up spills quickly.
You remove water and grease stains with a sponge and some water. For stubborn stains, use water with a mild natural soap. Do not rub too hard, as this can change the color of the wood. DTP Home advises not to treat the wood or to treat it as little as possible. A wood sealer changes the appearance of the furniture and then the warranty becomes void.
